CVCDP believe that as disabled people they are the experts when it comes to their lives. They know what they need, and what support will best meet those needs. As an organisation they welcome support from non-disabled people who agree with there aims, but as allies to our cause rather than as leaders of it.
This is why power and control in CVCDP lies only with disabled people. Disabled people need a strong voice with which to put forward their ideas about society in which they wish to live a society which includes rather than excludes them.
